Pragmatic Phase Iii Randomized Trial of Proton vs. Photon Therapy for Patients with Non-Metastatic Breast Cancer Receiving Comprehensive Nodal Radiation: A Radiotherapy Comparative Effectiveness (RADCOMP) Consortium Trial

We hypothesize that proton therapy, as part of multi-modality curative treatment for locally-advanced breast cancer, reduces major cardiovascular events (MCE), is non-inferior in cancer control, and improves HRQOL compared to photon therapy, the current standard treatment.
