Summary
We want to study the effects of immune therapy for cancer on the normal immune system. Some of the cells of the immune system reside in the bone marrow, and can only be obtained by inserting a needle into the bone marrow (typically done through the back of the hip bone). This is a standard clinical diagnostic procedure, but in this case done for the purpose of research.
