Summary
You will be asked to participate in the study for approximately one half-day (approximately five to six hours) at the clinical research center. This includes the time for the consent process, past medical history, measurements/ exam, four hour oral glucose test, and optional bone density scan to measure body composition. If more convenient, you may have the bone density scan or consent on a different day from the oral glucose test and baseline labwork.
As a part of this study you are requested to provide a blood sample for DNA. Theresults of DNA testing will not be made available to you or your physician and will
be used for research related purposes.
