Recruitment of subjects is accomplished by identifying cognitively normal individuals.
STUDY PROCEDURES: If you are eligible and agree to participate in this study you will give a medical history, and have a physical and neurological exam. This will include a description of any medical problems you have now, or have had in the past, a list of medications you are currently taking (including non-prescription medications and vitamins). Information will also be obtained from a person (study partner) whom you designate to speak for you and who knows you well. the study partner is required for every annual visit. In addition, the study partner may be asked to complete some assessments and questionnaires . You will have a 40 to 60 minute paper and pencil test, which will assess your memory, thinking and other problem-solving abilities. You will return once a year for a re-evaluation. During your return visits, you will report any health related changes that have occurred since your last examination. In addition, you will have a follow up physical and neurological exam and repeat the 40 to 60 minute paper and pencil test. In addition, health information will be obtained from your designated study partner during each annual visit.
Following your annual visit you will be contacted to schedule your MRI within 6 months of your initial date.
