Summary

The study is a multinational, open-label, multicenter randomized controlled trial. The primary objective is to evaluate whether cardiac output monitoring guided administration of IV fluids and low dose inotrope infusion in patients undergoing major elective gastrointestinal surgery results in reduced incidence of post-operative infection and reduced mortality and morbidity.
