Summary

The Nephrotic Syndrome Study Network (NEPTUNE) is a multi-disciplinary, multi-center longitudinal observational study. The main purpose of this study is to find markers for progression of Nephrotic Syndrome. We are particularly interested in the diseases called Focal and Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), Minimal Change Disease (MCD), and Membranous Nephropathy (MN), which are three common causes of Nephrotic Syndrome.

Description

People with nephrotic syndrome have a lot of protein in the urine. By collecting health information and laboratory samples, our goal is to learn more about these kidney diseases and find better ways to prevent and treat people with these kidney diseases. New knowledge will be shared with researchers and the public.
